Mahidol University aims to develop the readiness to construct a multi-purpose building to improve the quality of life within the university.

Professor Dr. Bang-orn Benjathikul, President of Bangkok Thonburi University (BTU), along with Professor (Special) Dr. Duangrit Benjathikul Chairungruang, participated in the pile-driving ceremony for the construction of a two-story multi-purpose building using the Pre-Engineered Steel Building (PEB) system. This building aims to accommodate the growing number of students and concretely improve the quality of life within the university, reflecting BTU's vision for sustainable development and future infrastructure development.
The multi-purpose building will have a total usable area of ​​5,000 square meters and a total construction budget of 60 million baht. Construction commenced on March 3rd and is expected to be completed by the end of May 2026, with official opening in the 1/2026 semester.
Furthermore, the multi-purpose building is designed to accommodate diverse uses and adequately support students. The first floor will be a multi-purpose area for student and staff activities, while the second floor will house a large cafeteria with a well-organized, convenient, clean, and efficient service system.
The construction of the multi-purpose building is being undertaken and supervised by the Faculty of Engineering, Bangkok Thonburi University, in accordance with engineering safety standards. And for long-term usability, the university is committed to developing infrastructure and a modern learning environment to enhance convenience and quality.
In this regard, the administrators, faculty, and staff of Bangkok Thonburi University participated in the pile-driving ceremony for the construction of the multi-purpose building at the parking lot in front of the gymnasium building, Bangkok Thonburi University.
